Overview

CarePlus New Jersey is a northern New Jersey provider of recovery-focused mental health, substance abuse, and family services that address the unique needs of individuals with a holistic approach to recovery and overall wellness.

 

Operating out of 23 sites – including three outpatient centers located in Paramus, Fair Lawn, and Montclair, ten residential facilities, offices at three local hospitals, and seven community offices – our services are convenient to clients located throughout Northern New Jersey. We also provide educational programs on mental health-related topics to area schools and community groups.

Responsibilities

PER DIEM AVAILABLE!

 

Arriving at the Fair Lawn Mental Health Center, a division of Care Plus NJ, Monday - Thursday and/or Sundays  to transport children in out-of home placement;  monitor interactions between foster children and their biological parents to facilitate permanency planning for the children; document interactions, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings with service providers and team members.  

 

Those who are currently pursuing their bachelor degree in, Social Work, Psychology or related field or already have their bachelor’s degree.

  • Gain experience working with children and families, receive training in how to complete  clinical/non-clinical  documentation
  • Strong writing skills



Monday - Thursday - wide range of times ranging from 10am-8pm
Team member would not need to be available for this entire window... please advise of availability

 

Sunday- team members need to be available from 12pm-4pm

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and currently pursuing a BA/BS/BSW
  • BA degree in Social Work or other behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university;

  • case management experience and/or experience with family work and/or linkage to community resources

  • Preferred: documented knowledge of childhood development and mental health issues, and at least 2 years work experience with children/families

  • Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish speaking)

  • Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under Agency's automobile insurance policy
